Parenting has changed immensely over the past several decades, most notably, in how much more involved fathers have become in child rearing. However, this increase in parental involvement does tend to lead to more areas and room for disagreements. In this class you will learn about differences in parenting styles based on upbringing, common differences in male and female interactions with children starting as early as infancy, and the positives of different approaches to parenting. There is nothing more important than our children’s safety. Yet, every day children are at risk of injury and death from improperly fitted helmets and lack of understanding about water safety. Did you know that more children ages 5 to 14 are seen in emergency rooms for injuries related to biking than any other sport? While proper helmets usage can reduce the risk of severe brain injuries and death by 88 percent, most children do not wear them properly, leaving themselves at grave risk for permanent injury and death.
